And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

We are living in an age of mass deception. From the media to politics, it’s not always easy to tell what is true and what is false.
The Bible says that in the last days many false prophets will rise up and deceive many (Matthew 24:11). The good news is that God has given us the prescription: deep, consistent study of the of His word.
And there’s more good news. You don’t have to wait for your pastor to lead you in this area. You don’t have to to turn to your favorite Christian author, or your favorite minister on YouTube. This is an assignment that you are well-equipped to handle on your own. The Holy Spirit is our teacher and He will guide us and reveal the truth of God’s Word to us. When you sit down to read, ask Him to sharpen your ears to hear what God has to say to you.
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
